Everyone is welcome to take lessons at East Ridge!
We offer lessons for the beginner to the very experienced, for young children to seniors, and for pleasure or show riders. Instruction in most disciplines including English, Western, Jumping, Driving etc.is available. Each lesson is tailored to be a progressive learning experience on a horse carefully chosen for their temperament, performance abilities and the skill level of the rider.
We strongly believe that knowledge of, and skills in, good horsemanship are vital to all riders. Our students are taught the basics and importance of grooming, leading, tacking, understanding a horse, safety and many more aspects associated with being a successful equestrian at any level while showing care and compassion for their friend.

This half-hour childrens group riding lesson offers your little ones a safe and rewarding introduction to the equestrian world.
Designed to develop familiarity with horses while building confidence, the lessons are not overly instructional but enhance skills slowly and safely. The riding lessons include some exercises on the pony such as walking and trotting, but will not include cantering.
Once your child is confident in walk and trot then they can move on to a beginners group or individual riding lesson for one hour.
